Summary: Chronicles a unique journey to explore the natural wonders of the West aboard the elegant American Orient Express. Starting in Denver at the Front Range of the Rockies, the journey heads to Rocky Mountain National Park and on through the mountains to the Golden Spike National Historic Site in Utah. Heading south the train stops near the fantastic shapes and dazzling colors of Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. Continuing through this incredible countryside, the train travels right to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and continues to Sunset Crater and the ancient pueblos and cliff dwellings of the Sinagua, Zuni and Anasazi peoples. After crossing the Painted Desert the trip reaches its end in Santa Fe. Along the way a team of naturalists and guides from the American Museum of Natural History provide insight into the plants, wildlife, geology and ancient peoples of these wild and remarkable places
